June 2017 stay

Stayed for 10 nights in June 2017. The wardens were very friendly and welcoming and the facilities were immaculate. The on site dog walk / nature reserve is really pleasant and I was very pleased to note my fellow caravaners had always cleaned up after their dogs. The site was generally very tranquil, if full, with the slight exception that the adjacent waste management site operated by Northumbria council started work at 7.30 am and the sound of vehicle reversing beepers travelled over the site but not too much of an issue unless you are a light sleeper who likes a lie in! Stayed on a grass pitch which was perfect as the weather was fantastic, I fail to understand why so many people head for the hard standing pitches in the good weather, the grass just cannot be beaten in my view.
