Heading South
Site very nice, wardens especially friendly. Toilets usual high club standard. You definitely need transport at this site. There is not a pub close by, but there is a service station on the main road, which has a good shop attached.
This is a good site for staying put, but If like us you were sightseeing, its too far out.
Alnwick Castle is worth a visit, but beware the carpark is £3, the town parking which is adjacent to the castle is free. The castle grounds are amazing, and the "Poison Garden" is a real eye opener. Unless you are a "Harry Potter" fan save your self some money, and just stick with the gardens.
