We've now been on site for 3 days with another 5 to go. From the very friendly welcome we've enjoyed every minute so far. The facility block must be one of the best on the network with large shower cubicles and WCs and it is kept immaculate. There is a good walk on the site itself by the River Breamish and there is a nature reserve next door with walks round lakes and an abundance of birdlife. The site itself is very peaceful - even now on a Friday evening. The site is away from all hustle and bustle but the local garage is also a Londis outlet with a good selection of food so no problems in getting provisions. The nearest main supermarkets are in Alnwick, about 12 miles away. TV reception is good from the booster in the hook up bollard and wifi is OK. If the rest of our stay is as good this will be one of the best CC sites we have been to in over 30 years of caravanning.
