A little disappointing
Our intention to visit this site was a. for a break and b. to find out if it is a good place to take our young grandchildren. The site generally speaking is good with an excellent shower block centrally in place. The welcome by the wardens was friendly and informative with advice given as to which pitch would be suited for my disabled wife. As for facilities for our grandchildren (who were not with us on this visit) they are non existent. There is no play park and there are signs posted saying that bicycles and scooters are not allowed. In essence not a site conducive to taking children. If anyone has never been to the site previously it can seem a bit isolated therefore I suggest that provisions are taken to last at least a couple of days as the nearest decent shop with reasonable prices is about 30 minutes drive from the site. In addition be prepared for a rather tedious drive along country lanes until you reach a major road to head in the direction of the major attractions such as Berwick, Holy Island etc.
