We not stopped here since the refurb, tho after needing a last minute getaway was happy to find availability. Wardens made it especially friendly on arrival, plenty of joking, warm reception and banter around the ongoing roadworks couple minutes away from site. The wardens also mentioned that the site did have a rally on site that weekend, something I feel should be mentioned on website at time of booking, not that I minded but forewarned would mean an informed choice could be made. This would of been a different review from myself if indeed I had young children with me on the stay as music was loud until 10:45pm. The cleanliness of site and especially toilet block was superb. Pitches remain of a good size and the view across the valley with the different weather coming across at this time of year led to a different view by the hour. After a prolonged break from using this site for our quick weekend breaks we realised the ease of location meant it should be used more by ourselves so booked up again. As previously mentioned it close to A66, yes you get noise tho not off putting for ourselves.
