We spent 2 nights at this site. It was very quiet with only a few units. The scenery towards Richmond is beautiful and the site is ideal for visiting Richmond and Barnard Castle in particular. A visit to the spectacular Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle is a must. The entrance fee entitles you to visit the museum for a whole year and they have various exhibitions throughout that time. The site is very well maintained and its proximity to the A66 makes it very convenient and it was not as noisy as some previous correspondents have indicated. We have experienced much worse traffic noise on sites further from main roads.
