Quiet location close to Country Park and walking/cycling routes

This was my first visit to this site, a planned visit last year had to be cancelled due to the 2nd Lockdown. It's a pleasant, clean, tidy, well laid out site. It was also quiet and peaceful as this was a term time mid-week visit. It might be a little less peaceful at weekends and holiday times as it looks like an ideal location to take children with the Country Park next door. The Country Park offers lots of paths for walking and cycling. I didn't get much chance to sample these as I ventured elsewhere. The site entrance is approx. 100 years from the Trans Pennine Trail. In one direction you can walk to/from Chesterfield, in the other you can walk to Rother Valley Country Park, both of which I walked to. The Trail itself would take you to Sheffield or even further to Manchester, the former would be well within reach by bicycle. I had intended to visit a local pub/restaurant recommended by the site staff, a 20-30 minute walk from the site, for an evening meal, but unfortunately something else cropped up and prevented this. I look forward to visiting the site again in the future.
