Nice but!
First stay at Poolsbrook and the welcome was warm from the wardens. The site was immaculate and well organised. The approach to the site is through a small industrial area which does not give a good impression on arrival. Dog walking is great as the footpaths lead off from the site. The country park had boy racers doing wheel spins and revving their engines till late in the evening. I do not feel it is a good for children as the site hasn't any specific areas for them.
A big concern was the security surrounding the site. The perimeter fence was a chicken wire affair that was only 3 ft high. This backed onto the footpaths of the country park. You could clearly see and access peoples awnings and a concern if you have children. The barrier on exit did not have a card swipe mechanism and maybe should be addressed. When leaving the site you were instructed to drop you barrier fob into a bucket near the door when the office was closed. Again, not secure as anyone could collect a fob to gain entry especially as the country park has a lot of visitors during the day and evening.
