Brilliant site
Just made our third visit to this site. It is a great site with a panoramic view across Plymouth Sound and all the associated activities. We were there during the heatwave so the elevated position gave constant cooling winds.
The area has plenty of opportunities for exploration without taking a vehicle off the site (we ave a motorhome and always plan never to take it off site until we leave). There is a bus service from near the site to Plymouth albeit only once a day each way giving about 3 hours in Plymouth. A one ,ice walk towards Staddiscombe brings more frequent services.
The nearest beach, Bovisand Bay, is sheltered and sandy with cafés on the cliff above and in the nearby holiday park.
The dog walk is among the best we have seen.
The local pub, the Mussel Inn serves good beer and food as does the Eddystone Inn down the hill in Heybrook Bay.
This is a site we will continue to visit.
