The best holiday we had with the dogs this year
We only live about 5 miles from this site, but decided to visit anyway. So glad we did. It is a lovely area for walking with the dogs, the views are lovely from the site, although sadly only if you can pitch on a slope which we couldn't. Dog walk secure and big enough for a good runaround. We walked several miles every day from the site in different directions, and had the September heatwave. We were not impressed with the local pub (the Mussel Inn). The beer garden terrace is permanently in the shade and very windy, there is a nice lower grassy area with tables but with a busy kids playground so no good for us, and it is shut mondays and tuesdays!. Nearest local co op is about a mile away. Small basic shop near site but does not sell booze, only papers and basics. Several beaches within easy walking distance, and most are dogs allowed all year. The site itself can be very breezy due to it's hill top location. We plan to visit it a lot next year.
