Nice to return

A good small site with views over Plymouth Sound, the surrounding countryside and distant Dartmoor. Good to see a drive over motorhome point. Due to exceptionally dry weather motorhomes could park further forward on the very sloping site, whether they could get out again in poor weather might change this new idea. The local pubs The Mussel Inn and the Eddystone aren't open (due to Covid restrictions) at the time of writing. The village shop for basics and papers and the adjoining cycle shop are open. The beach cafe is doing take aways so a stroll or drive down the steep hill to Bovisand is worth the effort. A good sandy beach and facilities plus coastal walks make the area around this site an ideal spot for a quiet escape. The bonus at the moment is a young eagle owl in training, you might see him and hear all about him on the playing field. Favourite places nearby are Wembury, Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo. Plymouth is a short drive away, the bus service is very limited.
