Lovely site; great views
We would endorse all the positive points mentioned on here; a really peaceful site with views over Plymouth Sound.
The wardens couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and keep the site in very good order.
On the edge of the small village, there is a pub doing food, a small shop, and even a bike shop next door to it!
Good walks from the site in all directions, across fields and down to the coast, all with fabulous cliff views. A good circular takes in Wembury with its delightful church and beach cafe, Heybrook Bay (another good pub), and back over the fields from along the cliffs. There is also loads to do in Plymouth.
Would recommend it to anyone who can manage without a site loo etc.
National Trust properties are well represented if you are a member, the closest being Saltram only a few miles away. If you are a cyclist this is also pa good place to park to ride the excellent Pym Valley Trail/National Cycle Route 27, which is just down the hill from the main car park. One or two climbs between there and Tavistock and back, but well worth the effort.
