Great 10 days exploring Anglesey
We enjoyed our 10 day stay on Anglesey at the end of August/beginning of September.
The entrance to the site is a narrow single lane only, with No arrivals before 1300hrs rigidly applied due to the access width and to reduce the risk of encountering caravans which are leaving as you are arriving. Those that choose to ignore the 1300hrs arrival time, and then have problems, only have themselves to blame, particularly when there are plenty of large lay-bys on the main road approaching to and from Benllech.
Overall the site is clean, and well organised with service areas including water, bins, recycling and chemical disposal. There is only one toilet/amenities block, which is getting dated, but is kept immaculately clean. I am not sure how the A special mention to the staff who were all cheerful, polite and helpful.
We chose a hard standing pitch around a cul-de-sac loop. We enjoyed walking directly from the site, along the green lane and then exploring along various footpath routes.
When we were visiting the weather was a mixed bag of wet and windy, interspersed with sunny periods. We looked at the weather forecast and often found travelling a few miles provided nicer days out, including watching red squirrels in the Forest, and sandy walks along the beach at Red Wharf Bay and Rhosneigr.
