This was our 3rd visit to Pembrey once again had a wonderful time, lots of cycling and things to do. However the conflicting report on arrival times, we endeavoured to arrive just after 1pm (exactly 1305hrs) and found at least 4 or 5 arrivals already setting up which means they must have arrived before 1pm. Whilst we were there we noted that some wardens allowed access prior to 1pm others not until 1pm. We travel approx 3.5 hrs to reach Pembrey and it’s annoying when we have ensured we adhere to the times laid down that others can arrive early and gain access. Also the ongoing problem with dog owners allowing their dogs to defecate on pitches, this happened within our sight at least 2/3 times, admittedly it was cleaned up however the residue still contaminates the pitch. As non pet owners (I appreciate this will cause controversy) we would like a clean pitch to set up on, perhaps pitches for non pet owners may be an idea. We stayed in a serviced pitch, they are not in the best position, perhaps a move to the row behind would be better and provide more serviced pitches. The van that visits each weekday is great and his custard tart is to die for, only wish he visited every day and perhaps stocked daily papers as well. We will be returning later in the year.
