We visit Pembrey at least once a year but after our recent visit I don't think I will be back. I actually thought long and hard about writing this but things need to improve there. Firstly, the staff were brilliant, they work really hard and can't fault them. The biggest let down is the facilities. Staff clean the facilities to a very high standard. Unfortunately other guests leave them in a terrible state. There is not enough toilets and showers for a site of this size, especially when so many people had multiple generations staying in one caravan putting a extra burden on facilities. Water was never warm and there is no pressure in the showers. Facilities need a total overall. Overcrowding is another issues. So many caravans had 10 or more people, 60% of the site had more than one vehicle parked on site, you can now see why the lack of facilities was an issue. I am not sure what it is with Pembrey site but it seems to attract the rudest caravaners. We were fortunate to get a hardstanding pitch with a small green area behind. This seem to be busier than the M4 with so many people walking through the pitch, through infront of the awning and constantly kicking up the stones. One morning I even woke to find another family had set up their dining table directly behind our caravan and were enjoying their breakfast. The bloody cheek. Pembrey is such a good location for families but there are a few things letting it down.
