Good for families

not a quiet place for a break

we were glad to leave im afraid , barking dogs , people walking across pitch, showers need renewing. places too far to get to,hotel round the corner very good and on last day a new pub opened just passed the hotel. would be a nice touch to add wooden tables to pitches.we were near the road and the noise was awful. we did feel the wardens could of had a quiet word with dogs owners. we had three dogs ourselves but ours didnt bother anyone. cant see us returning shame because the park and beach was very good for dog owners. but that had a lacking of facilities ......one small place for coffee and the ski slop did not sell snacks and seemed to not care less if the staff serve you or not. very disappointed.

You say that places were 'too far to get to'. Is that because you are a motorhomer but did not wish to take the vehicle off site or are you a caravanner and did not wish to drive?

The only road near the site is the entrance to the country park. We’ve been there many times and the only sounds we ever hear are  distant cars entering/ leaving the park (slowly to pass through the barriers) and children cycling with their parents. The park has been very busy this weekend as it hosted the start of the cycling tour of Great Britain and we were definitely not disturbed by road noise!

Wooden tables on pitches? That would surely be a first for the club. Something else to push pitch fees up I guess.

There are always places too far to get to whatever site you visit. Check out Google Earth if things like that are important.

Personally, I like the Pembrey site - one of the best.
