No good for elderly or infirm dog-owners wanting to go on the beach
The site was very quiet (I live in the back of beyond so know what quiet is) - wonderful for children as it is very safe with plenty for them to do, I went with my extended family and my dog. I am ancient but fit - so I walked the mile plus to the beach - the level entrance is not for dog-owners they are re-directed quite a way further on - then confronted with several steps up a bank - loads more steps down the other side - across soft sand, then an extremely steep bank disappearing over the dunes (and according to Tripadvisor very steep down the other side). The main reason I had gone to Pembrey was to walk the beach. I could not even see the beach! The Wardens were pleasant but did not tell me the milkman and the baker circled the site (there is no shop) If you want a newspaper it is "just ten minutes drive" - in a motorhome - I think not.
I would not go again as level access to the beach is not available and, like many other people, the dog is my companion. I would feel like a spare part walking across the park to the beach on my own.
The kiddies in the party had a great time and cannot wait to go again.
