Excellent Site

This an extremely well managed site in a great location, especially for those who enjoy walking or cycling. The Site has recently had an upgrading and with that has come a "price hike". The wardens are a lovely couple who are very welcoming and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them,. The Location is first class sitting on the border between Wales and England with access to the interesting City of Hereford and the ancient border towns of Abergavenny and Monmouth. This is excellent walking country which offers relaxed walking along the Brecon/Newport Canal, or for the more adventurous walker, exceptional walks in the Brecon Beacons National Park or the Black Mountains. The Skirrid and the Sugar Loaf mountain walks are a little bit more demanding but well worth doing. There is a good choice of local pubs and eating houses, in particular the Skirrid Inn, which is 1.5 miles away and which is purported to be the Oldest Inn in Wales, offering excellent choice of drinks and an extensive food menu at reasonable prices. All in all a perfect little location which we will be returning to in the future. Only downside is the Pitch Fee which we feel is overpriced, generally.
