A delightful little site
This is a delightful little site. Lying a few miles north of Abergavenny it is surrounded by hills and bordered by a most attractive river (the Monnow which apparently eventually ends up in Monmouth, hence the name) running close by. This river also runs through the dog walk area - our Labradors loved it! The railway line runs on an embankment high above the site and the trains pass at speed at regular intervals - we got used to their sudden presence very quickly, and they didn't disturb our nights. The staff are delightful; friendly and helpful - good ambassadors for the Club. Despite the drizzle we managed to get out for a good circular walk following part of the Beacon Trail - when the mist and low clouds parted the views were wonderful - in fine weather it must be spectacular. Beware though - despite this being a National Park, most of the stiles are not dog friendly, and we found that heaving muddy, wet Labradors over the stiles because there was no access for them took the edge off the experience. But if you are looking for a friendly, small and well cared for site in lovely surroundings then Pandy fits the bill very well. I have a feeling that we'll be back.
