A well ordered larger site with excellent facilities. Enjoyed the mountain walk up to Offa's Dyke offering great views.
The train line is nearby but although noisy, the trains are infrequent and short!

Lovely well kept site.
Lovely spacious & well kept, level site with helpful wardens. Trains are only about once an hour for a few seconds as they whizz by, so didnt disturb us at all, though our pitch was in the central area of site. Very little road noise due to the embankment in any case. Dog walk grassed area great, with a little extra wander through the wood between river and rail embankment, but other walks direct from site limited.
Great site - Pity about the Trains
Pandy is a lovely site with all the necessary amenities in top order. The site staff were excellent and very helpful when we arrived. The site has extremely easy access from the main Abergavenny- Hereford road. Our pitch was very level and needed no adjustment at all. The site is well tended and very pretty and it's in a great location for walks in the Black Mountains and further, the Brecon Beacons. The staff worked hard to maintain cleanliness standards during the latter days of the pandemic restrictions. There's a pub just outside the site and it's a good, no-nonsense pub serving serving the usual pub grub which was fine. There's only one major drawback to this site - the noise. I was awoken at just after 0400hrs in the morning by a train running down the adjacent (50m) track and I counted three more trains in the hour to 0500hrs. It was impossible to sleep thereafter. I wouldn't recommend this site because the ambient noise during the day and night - what a shame!
Another visit to Pandy
We've stayed at Pandy quite a few times and have just enjoyed another few days here in our campervan. This time was the 1st time we have been when the site was full but I still felt there was plenty of space. The site had all COVID precautions in place but sadly I too often met other site users not using face coverings in the toilet/shower block. - I do not like using a mask but am happy to do so if this means I can camp again.
Rest place after Offa's Dyke
We stayed at this site for one night in June 2021. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the site is clean and tidy and showers very welcome.

A superb, well run small site
We've stayed at Pandy quite regularly and have just enjoyed another great week on the site. Bill and Julie are superb hosts and run the site very professionally, not least as they are able to pass on their excellent knowledge of the local area. There is some great hill walking within short driving distances. Not really a site for children if they enjoy a play area and/or a playing field as there are neither.

So restful
Gorgeous smaller site, arrived today, pick of pitches. Site beautifully laid out with lots of green space between each pitch. Beautiful dog walk through a small meadow and then down through a wooded area to the river which is shallow enough for paddling if so inclined. Not a very suitable site for young kids as no play park but if they like the outdoors it would be fine.Site is flanked by the river on one side and a railway line on the other (branch line) but we stopped.noticing the trains very quickly.
Bus stops to Hereford and abergavenny just outside of site and warden (very friendly) will give you a paper copy of the timetable. Lovely pub on the corner so heading there tomorrow after we spend the day in. Abagervenny..
All in all a lovely site for adults
Lovely site and wardens
First trip out in seven months due to lockdown, we were so looking forward to visiting Pandy and wasn’t disappointed. Lovely quiet small site, nicely laid out . Excellent for walkers and those just wanting to chill out. Great dog walk. Pub just outside site doing takeaway meals at the moment.
Can’t praise the relief wardens Martin and Karen enough, very efficient, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.
A Real Tonic
A lovely view of the Black Mountains, a river flowing through it, friendly and helpful wardens: what more can you want. Peace and quiet? Yes, and although the railway runs along one side it never intruded, it was quite comforting in fact and even interesting on a Sunday when goods traffic takes over from passenger traffic. I don't know how a family with children above toddler age would take to it, perhaps too quiet and peaceful?, but if you have a dog then the dog walk is a treat - made me wish I had a dog with me - perhaps they should hire them out to visitors from reception. Absolutely 100% recommended for site, facilities, and friendly wardens.
