A superb, well run small site

We've stayed at Pandy quite regularly and have just enjoyed another great week on the site. Bill and Julie are superb hosts and run the site very professionally, not least as they are able to pass on their excellent knowledge of the local area. There is some great hill walking within short driving distances. Not really a site for children if they enjoy a play area and/or a playing field as there are neither.

So restful

Gorgeous smaller site, arrived today, pick of pitches. Site beautifully laid out with lots of green space between each pitch. Beautiful dog walk through a small meadow and then down through a wooded area to the river which is shallow enough for paddling if so inclined. Not a very suitable site for young kids as no play park but if they like the outdoors it would be fine.Site is flanked by the river on one side and a railway line on the other (branch line) but we stopped.noticing the trains very quickly. Bus stops to Hereford and abergavenny just outside of site and warden (very friendly) will give you a paper copy of the timetable. Lovely pub on the corner so heading there tomorrow after we spend the day in. Abagervenny.. All in all a lovely site for adults

Lovely site and wardens

First trip out in seven months due to lockdown, we were so looking forward to visiting Pandy and wasn’t disappointed. Lovely quiet small site, nicely laid out . Excellent for walkers and those just wanting to chill out. Great dog walk. Pub just outside site doing takeaway meals at the moment. Can’t praise the relief wardens Martin and Karen enough, very efficient, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.

A Real Tonic

A lovely view of the Black Mountains, a river flowing through it, friendly and helpful wardens: what more can you want. Peace and quiet? Yes, and although the railway runs along one side it never intruded, it was quite comforting in fact and even interesting on a Sunday when goods traffic takes over from passenger traffic. I don't know how a family with children above toddler age would take to it, perhaps too quiet and peaceful?, but if you have a dog then the dog walk is a treat - made me wish I had a dog with me - perhaps they should hire them out to visitors from reception. Absolutely 100% recommended for site, facilities, and friendly wardens.

Charming site with a proper Welsh welcome

Stayed here one night after running up the Sugar Loaf, we knew we needed a club site with good showers and we were not disappointed. Very clean, very tidy and probably the most COVID safe club site/CL we have visited this year, even notices on the toilets asking you to flush with the seat down due to infection risk of flush spray. The site itself was very very quiet due to cancellations from Wales lockdown areas. Great location with walks from the site and probably the best welcome we have had on any site.

great choice for our first night in our new motorhome

to be honest we chose this site because it was just a few miles down the road from where we live and we thought that as newbies we wouldn't be far from home if we got into difficulties on our first short trip away. We couldn't have picked a better place to start. The wardens were very welcoming friendly, helpful and welcoming. The whole site, especially the toilet block, was spotlessly clean and the covid precautions were first class. A very professional set-up and a credit to the club. It is a lovely spot. We walked up the road to the Skirrid Inn (2 miles return) and had a good meal in front of a roaring log fire.

Lovely site

We’ve just got back from a week at Pandy. We had a lovely welcome from the wardens when we arrived. We had a great week, we were lucky with the weather too which was an added bonus. Lovely site. We had a grass pitch and have a big caravan and there was plenty of room for the caravan, car and awning. The dog walk was fab and our golden retriever Tia loved her daily walks down to the river for a paddle. There was a train line alongside the site but it didn’t bother us at all. Lots of walks nearby and plenty of nice places to visit, we chose outdoor places, gardens, and castles mainly. We would definitely like go back to Pandy.

Lovely small and peaceful site

Stayed last week of September when weather was good. We were on a grass pitch with plenty of room and a good distance from our neighbours. Cannot comment on facilities as we used our own. Would have thought site was more adult than child friendly which is why we chose it. Pity we had to leave one day early due to imminent bad weather (didn't fancy driving home 4 to 5 hours in stormy conditions). Will return!

Small friendly site

The wardens, Julie and Bill, keep the site immaculately clean and well maintained. There's a good dog walk and exercise area alongside a stream and safe footpaths directly from the site. Despite the site being full, and the 'rule of two' in toilet/shower block at any one time, we rarely had to queue during our week long stay. I think this could be because the site is predominantly used by more mature people (there no specific facilities for children) who are well aware of COVID risks and so responded to the request to use their onboard facilities whenever possible. Yes, there is some train noise from the branch line that runs alongside the site but it didn't bother us - we've stayed on sites where road noise was much more intrusive. There is plenty of green space on the site but the individual pitches aren't very generous in size necessitating careful parking if you have a caravan and awning.

Lovely site, great staff

Stayed here in a motorhome sept. Unfortunately all hard standing pitches were taken so we were on a grass pitch. Motorhome next to us got stuck which made us uneasy about our getaway. However Bill came to the rescue, lending us mats & guiding us out. With friendly Julie as well they are a great team. Lovely dog walk onsite & great walks directly from the door. We will be returning (not to a grass pitch next time).
