Lovely little site

Stayed at Pandy from 12/8 to 16/8. Lovely Lady on Reception gave us a warm welcome. Pitched up on Number 4 which gave us the last of the evening sun ( yes, we did have some). Railway behind us which didn't bother us at all. Site is spotless, toilets were well maintained and very clean. They will need refurbishment sometime. Excellent location for Hereford and Abergavenny. The local "Pandy Inn" is very accomodating, good food but a little pricey. The Carpenters Arms in Walterstone (turn left out of the site) is very nice, quaint, be warned they only do cash.  We cannot fault this site and will return The sting in the tail was that we had to call Mayday Recovery, went to see the Lady on Reception, she was so helpful and said don't worry about anything.

Abergavenny Break

We stayed at the Pandy site in April and May as our first trip of the year. The site, as you would expect is immaculately clean and well kept. The site is sandwiched between a river and railway and the commuter trains run past relatively quietly but the evenings freight trains do thunder a little. The dog walk is adequate but we kept our three Retrievers on leads when down by the river - the smell of wet dogs in a caravan must be avoided at all costs. For days out Raglan Castle, Goodrich Castle, Hereford Cider Museum, Hereford Cathedral, Castle Coch, Tretower Court, Caerphilly Castle and Blaenavon are all within driving distance and all well worth a visit. There is an ice cream farm type affair at Rowlestone where on certain days you can watch the ice cream being made. Very good location for exploring the surrounding area. The pitches, however, are quite small and cars are parked at the front of the caravan if the side is taken up with the awning.

Part 1 of a 6 day tour.

Stayed 2 nights in August. The Staff are lovely and really friendly. The site is immaculate. The Pandy Inn about 60 seconds walk is a typical country pub with a couple of real ales and good pub grub. We have a 7.5 m motorhome which we parked in the  coach park in Abergavenny, after asking permission. (The car park has a 2.5 ton limit and height restriction barriers). A vist to Raglan Castle is worth the trip, the access is a bit tight but parking on the grass car park is no problem.

IDEAL SITE

Stayed 6 nights in July. The weather was a bit of a mixed bag but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Site very clean and tidy and wardens very helpful and friendly.Nice pubs nearby serving good food.Bus stop at main road for Abergavenny or Hereford. On entering the site what struck me as a first impression was the absence of flowers compared with other club sites we have visited ,no flowers to be seen anywhere.( This is the only negative point about this site )

Lovely site

A lovely well maintained site, the railway line only has minimal trains running so didn't bother us. Despite the site not being ideal for children our 3 enjoyed them selves in the field at the end and playing in the river. A lovely peaceful site, highly recommend.

Nice Small Club Site

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. The weather was mixed but we did have one good day of sunshine. As with most of the other reviews we found the wardens extremely helpful and pleasant. The shop is very limited mainly due to the lack of turnover. As for the railway line, it did not disturb us at all. In fact we were intrigued as to what goods were being transported. The shower block was well maintained but closed between 10.30 and 12.00 for cleaning. All in all a pleasant stay and I expect that we will return.

Peaceful weekend

Found the site very easily, following the directions given in the hand book.the site is level, great as I have mobility problems. It has to be one of the best sites we have stayed on a river along one side, and railway on the other. Toilets etc.,immaculate, wardens friendly. We had a lovely weekend, will defiantly visit again.

Immaculate Site.

Having declined to stay at the adjacent CL we managed to book at Pandy for two nights on our way north. The Warden made us very welcome and the effort in keeping the site in tip top condition is worthy of note. We would return to Pandy in the future.

Noting but Praise

My wife and our 2 dogs stayed at Pandy from 10th July 2015 for 6 nights. We were greeted by friendly helpful wardens, The toilets were clean and modern. There is a railway track near the site but the train noise was minimal. I had a problem with my water pump and the wardens were able to advise me of a suitable shop to get it repaired. they suggested I phone the company and have the part delivered to the site. The only fault I found with the site was finding it. Although it is not far off the main road the sat nav sent me up a farm track. I would suggest you look for the Old Pandy Inn and turn in past the pub. the site is on the left immediately after the railway bridge.
