Brief Visit from 11th to 14th September

This is a lovely site up to the best Caravan Club standards, the train line had put me off visiting before but whilst quite busy it really is not a problem and I intend to return.

Lovely stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pandy site. Lovely countryside, long walks and good pubs all in close proximity. We will return very soon.

Great location for Beacons

Yes the site is next to a main railway line, this did not affect us during our stay. We did find the toilet & shower blocks very clean, but in need of a refurbishment . Great location for exploring the surrounding area and would recommend a visit to the Pandy Arms for nice food & drinks.

A relaxing location

This is a mature site, set in a peaceful location, surrounded by beautiful countryside close to Offas Dyke. We enjoyed our stay and visited some amazing scenery, since we were very lucky with some glorious sunshine. However, please note that trains run by at regular intervals alongside the site. Some pitches are quite small compared with other sites, so choose carefully if you wish to set up an awning and park your car. There is also only one washing machine and spin dryer in the laundry room. Information leaflets were somewhat lacking for any local attractions, including walks and the nearby Brecon mountains, but perhaps it is nearing the end of the season and these had been depleted somewhat! But there are many castles in touching distance worth a visit. This site would appeal to people wanting to relax and enjoy the quiet location. There is also an excellent pub in close proximity for snacks and meals with friendly staff and atmosphere. All in all, a pleasant experience but with some minor faults.

Another lovely short break

This is a lovely site in a beautiful location that we have been to several times.

Plus points are that you can walk out directly from the site on to a minor road and into the Brecon National Park. I've given 4 stars rather than 5 for Peace & quiet because of the railway line that runs along the edge of the site although it's only a minor annoyance. Also only 4 stars for Facilities & cleanliness because, although shower block was spotless, there is just the one block that has to be closed when it's being cleaned.

Very friendly and helpful wardens who would get 5 stars if they had a category!

Another Welsh Gem!

A lovely site, just off the main A465 Road, a short distance from Abergavenny in one direction and Hereford in the other. A site well worth a visit.

Another nice site.

We found pandy to be a lovely site facilities dated yet clean & useable. The wardens were very helpful and friendly with the local pandy inn nice to eat and drink in. The only downside to this site was the noisy trains at night keeping us awake. Apart from that superb stay.

Fantastic bank holiday break

Positives- superb base for cycling on quiet roads to Llantony Priory and Abergavenny. Waitrose nearby in Abergavenny. Few trains during Saturday or Sunday night. Very peaceful site. Excellent dog walking area. Negatives- not much for children to do apart from football net. Toilet starting to look a little rundown. Noisy freight trains on Friday night. Overall- a wonderful site where I am sure we will return again and again.

Brilliant get away

We called in at 5pm just as the wardens were going off site - they were most helpful as we had parked on a nearby site which we didn't like and wanted to move immediately. Wardens happily accommodated us with a vacant pitch, gave us info and said that we could pay the next day. We then collected our van and spent 4 nights happily parked up and found the site to be quiet (apart from occasional passing trains) and surprisingly only two thirds full. As it was mid august we were happy to find the site relatively child free and available at such short notice. We would definitely return.

You need a car for this Site

Stayed 4 nights Aug 15 in Motorhome. The Site is good, but is close to an active railway line which did wake us during the night. Nice walking country, but too far to shops or a Town. We were staying on Site with caravanning friends so drove to Abergavenny when required. 2 excellent pubs we walked to ...... The Skirrid in Llanvihangel Crucorney (Wales oldest inn with great history) and east to the remote Hunters Moon in Llangattock Lingoed, a lovely old inn on the Offas Dyke path where the enterprising landlord has made a real effort to make a go of it .... Including long opening hours. The Pandy Inn is good but has restricted opening hours. Both U.S. and our caravan friends agreed Nice site but we wouldn't revisit due its isolation.
