Not up to the standard I expect
This campsite is in a stunning position overlooking St Mary's Lighthouse - for most pitches. Easy access onto the English Coastal Path and local cafe pubs shops. The new facilities are spotlessly clean and endless hot water in the shower.
The site is spoiled by the pitches which for me is a fairly important part of camping. Pitches are hard standing but you have to drive over grass to get to them. Our van is 6m long and only just managed to fit onto the pitch with no gravel at the front back or side - so sitting out was on muddy grass , no gravel for a BBQ and trying to get the bikes of the back on slippery grass not easy. All pitches are sloping in all directions so trying to level with chocks is vey hard. We then had a massive step up into the van. We were charged £37.50 per night for this. Given the recent revamp of the facilities which I cannot fault this site is let down by the lack of investment in the actual pitches themselves.
