Old Hartley in the damp !
Well, after a few nights/days at O H I'm still inclined to think it's a grand little site!!
Having only been there once before I'd forgotten how sloping some pitches were, but the yellow 'stepped' levellers coped well enough. Sadly tho' the grass was exceedingly wet & it required some degree of pitch pre-selection by the warden on Reception to point me & my 'camper to the best ones for me. That difficulty apart, the site is still a delightful place for me to while away a few idle days with nothing to disturb my rest, barring the gentle zephyr blasting in from the North Sea ( But that was not stopping the youngsters scampering round quite happily !! ) A gentle stroll into the village catered for all my needs and, hopefully in better or at least dryer weather, I will be back again.
Must finish with a whole-hearted recommendation for the Wardens who worked as hard as any I've met & got me off pitch with minimum damage to the grass.
