We use this site perhaps half a dozen times a year as we live quite close to it. It always impresses. The views are just stunning. The wardens are so friendly and helpful they should be awarded for their manner and the superb way they keep this site - just perfect wardens!! If you haven't been here before, there is an excellent fish and chip shop within half a mile where the portions are huge - one does for two. The pub adjacent to the site serves decent pub food and well-kept real ale and has friendly locals. Dog-walking is brilliant, with it being so close to the cliff-top walk to the stunning sandy beach at Whitley Bay. Just don't tell too many people how good it is!!
