The views and walks were amazing from this site and we can’t wait to return. You can walk for miles along this beautiful coastline. As this was a one night stopover for us we walked to Seaton Sluice the first day and had a delicious tea from the popular chip shop, Harbour View. It was the best veggie burger I’ve had. The next morning we walked into Whitley Bay, along a great promenade. There were quite a few pubs that we passed and we noticed lots of buses close by if you want to travel further. We were on pitch 31 and luckily there was a micro caravan in front of us so we had a great view of the island. The only negative for us was the closeness of the pitches. We are used to spacious CL pitches so this felt a little crowded, particularly as we were right next to the road with people regularly walking past us. It was nice to have the toilet block which we sometimes don’t have on CLS. We are looking forward to our next visit at the end of the season.
