Location, location, location
Every pitch has a sea view - just what we needed. It was our first visit here, but it certainly won’t be our last. Having had a four hour journey to get to the site, it’s not always possible to time arrival perfectly, and we thought we would arrive a lot later. As it was, we were half an hour early and were politely asked to wait in the nearby public car park for the 30 minutes. The site is VERY sloped, so be warned - you will need levellers. The caretakers are friendly and helpful, but a very small number of site users had us ‘tut-tutting’ at some aspects of human behaviour. Please respect other people’s property - it not acceptable, even in your state of drunkenness to DRAG your heavy chairs, nor step on, the electrical wires belonging to your neighbours as you visit your friends. And why should follow-on visitors and the caretakers be assaulted by the sight of your faecal remains in the toilet? If you know you’re having a bit of trouble at least line the bowl beforehand, ensure EVERYTHiNG is flushed away, and if anything remains, use the toilet brush! Certain aspects of the behaviour of others aside, this is a great site with wonderful views. The facilities are a little dated, but kept well. The location is great with a lovely walk in one direction to St Mary’s lighthouse, and the beaches and harbour of Seaton Sluice in the other.
