Good for families

Beware - only one person allowed in single toilet block at a time

As the title. There's nothing on the website to tell you that only one facilities block is open, and only one person can access it at a time. This is terrible news if your on board facilities aren't in use, or you don't have any. I would never have booked if I'd know. If you have any kind of IBS you are in trouble. And a shared rubber band 'token' to enter is not a good idea.

I might add that I stayed at Wharfedale where both blocks are open and 3 people can access at a time. Few queuing problems.

At Camping and Caravanning club sites facilities are graded by size and specific numbers allowed. For instance at Dunstan Hill (not that far from Old Hartley) - 4 per block. At Keswick far more.

Men’s toilets still not open in spite of being told on Saturday that they were expected to be opened by midweek. Seem to have been awaiting electrician for some time now to fix lights

they were on last night!

We were all told on the caravan and motorhome website that facilities will be limited. Use your own on board if possible.

Interpretation of conditions can be subjective. however, I cannot find myself agreeing with your pretty bad review of old Hartley. It is a lovely well managed  site.

Thanks for that information . It is good to know that there is such variation in access to facilities blocks as I had assumed that club sites would have similar systems; it is definitely important to know

We also stayed at a Club site (Lower Wensley) where facilities were operating along the lines of Grassington and the system was working well.

There's a big difference between limited facilities and totally inadequate. There was no warning on the website of the exceptional restriction here. There should have been. I don't have on board facilities.
And I know it's a lovely site. That's why I wanted to go there.
