We made our second visit to Old Hartley late July and the views are even better than we remembered. The pitches are hard standing but you have in most cases to go over grass to get to them. Although the pitches are fairly flat the site is on quite a severe slope which is good for the views but not so good for walking up to the toilets or walking for a bus. The bus stop is about 200 yds from the site entrance taking you to Tynemouth, Newcastle and many other places. The site and toilet block was kept clean and tidy and the wardens were very pleasant as is usual with Caravan Club Sites. Will we go again? indeed we will!
