Nice site except for idiot drivers

We spent 10 nights here and found the site to be very pleasant and well laid out. Some pitches are overshadowed by trees. The site doesn't have a toilet block which is fine by us, but it does puzzle me why in that case it can average 5 stars for facilities, but then many club reviews doe seem to rate everything as 5 stars; The dog walk onsite is through a small wood, but unfortunately it isn't fenced off from the site and if like you have a young dog who is easily distracted it was far too easy for her to run onto the site so I had to keep her on her lead. We were pitched near the entrance gate, which has a cattle grid and some of the idiots staying on the site were driving to and out of the site, past several caravans at ridiculous speeds banging over the cattle grid. The speed limit is 5mph and to be honest anything up to 10 mph isn't too bad, but many of these idiots were easily doing 20mph coming into the site and clattering over the cattle grid and speeding past until the first bend outside the site office. This is a problem which ids becoming worse on club sites, and it's notable that many of these speeders are NOT young drivers by any means, on the contrary many of them were well beyond middle aged and some of them were actually towing caravans while speeding! . Complaining about speeders to the wardens achieves nothing as they invariably say it's difficult to say if someone is speeding. This is nonsense, 5mph is a fast walking pace, I don;t know anyone who can walk at 20mph. I have complained repeatedly to the club about this problem but it seems that until there is a serious incident they will do nothing. However if you pitch a foot away from the peg it becomes a federal case! It's about time electronic speed signs on sites that can easily be seen by everybody so that speeders can be reported and the wardens actually do something about it. I'm more concerned about the dangers of speeding that of someone "exercising" their dog. I will say "well done" to a warden when I see them pulling up and warning one of these people. If anyone reading this review is prone to speeding around campsites, and you will certainly know if you are, then SLOW DOWN before you kill a child. There is no excuse whatsoever for speeding on sites
