This was the second time we have visited this site this year and is becoming one of our favourites. The site had plenty of room with both grass & hardstanding pitches available. The wardens weren't on duty when we arrived but this presents no problem as you simply post your membership card & go & find a pitch, reporting back when the reception opens. The wardens were very friendly & helpful and provided some excellent baking at the McMillan Coffee Morning. The wooded dog walk is a delight, it feels like a scene from the Hobbit, you can let the dog loose without worrying about them getting lost. The site is ideally situated for The North Yorkshire Coast which, in my opinion, i s as good as anywhere in the country. The North Yorkshire railway is near by, there was a 'steam weekend' on which was a bonus. I take my kayak which I launch from Sandsend from the car park if the weather allows, It was too windy to go out so I fished from the car park & caught a few. We will be back 👍
