50s/60s holiday

Returned for 4th year in a row to enjoy the type holiday we enjoyed in the 50s/60s..........Really good weather and we split our time between Whitby(fish and chips, walks along the pier, swing bridge,199 steps etc) and Scarborough ( Peaseholm Park,Harbour Bar,Spa orchestra and SJT in the round) This no facilities site helps you to totally relax amongst the sheep trees and wildlife. The managers are superb and try hard to get the balance with lovely beds of flowers and a bit of wildness. There are plenty of quieter bits of the site off the main circuit so you can avoid the half dozen pitches near the entrance......speeding traffic didnot seem to be that much of a problem BUT there were kids on bikes enjoying themselves every day so self control needs to be exercised. We should all be able to select first gear and not have to be policed by staff who surely have better things to do than engage in confrontation with people who should know better
