This was our first outing with our recently purchased touring caravan. Check in was very easy and we chose a hard standing pitch because of the wet weather. The site is very pretty and immaculately maintained with a designated dog walking area. We found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The warden was out and about every day, emptying bins, cutting the grass etc. And always ready to offer advice, or just a friendly chat. . There's a dog friendly pub about 5 minutes walk away, we didn't eat there, but enjoyed the beer garden. There's also a little shop/general store 5 minutes away which stocks all the basics, plus gifts and ice-creams. The owners are also very friendly and offered to reserve a daily newspaper for us. It's a quiet location, and yes, there are cockerels on an adjacent property, but the early morning 'cock a doodle doo' really didn't bother us. We woke up to bird song and saw baby rabbits playing in the hedges surround the pitches. There's a pizza van that visits the site and also an ice-cream van. We look forward to returning to this pretty little site.
