Lovely relaxing time
I stayed on this site over the August Bank Holiday and it was quieter than expected, probably due to the variable weather, so I found it mostly peaceful. I stayed on a grass pitch towards the back of the site and this was very quiet and had plenty of space around it. I was set back a little way from the access road so didn't notice any children but to be honest there have been children tearing around on bikes and scooters on pretty much every site I've visited in the school holidays! The site itself is well maintained and there are lots of walks accessible from it including St. Benet's Abbey and How Hill Nature Reserve - don't miss the secret garden! Bewilderwood is just up the road for those with children and there are plenty of places to hire boats nearby. A short drive takes you to Horsey Gap where you can see seals all year round and nearby Horsey Mill is worth a stop for refreshments or a comfort break. I stayed as a solo female guest and felt perfectly safe on site and in the surrounding area. There was plenty to do so I will be returning with the family next year.
