Lovely place to stay

It was our first visit to this site and we were not disappointed. The welcome was very warm and informative with details given about the several pitches that were available. The site itself is very well tended, with lots of flowers around and neatly mown grass. I had read previous reviews about noisy cockerels and road noise but they were not a problem to us at all. We hardly noticed. We enjoyed the circular walk to How Hill via St Benet's Abbey along the river. The cafe at How Hill has a lovely outside terrace overlooking the garden and the river and was a delightful place to enjoy the cake and coffee in the sunshine. We also bought 'The Broads by Bike' booklet from reception and cycled routes four and eight taking us to places such as Potter Heigham, Horsey Mere, Barton Broad and Horning. The site is only a few minutes walk from the river and it was nice to wander down there in an evening and sit for a while. Our only issue was that as usual there were several people ignoring the Covid rules regarding the use of face masks and not entering the toilet block when there were already three people inside. It is very difficult for the wardens to police the rules but it would be nice if everyone could put safety first.
