Another first!
Seems to be trending right now - our first trip to Norfolk. We're normally attracted to lakes and hills but tried out The Broads after careful scrutiny of the 5 day weather forecast (wouldn't like to be in this area when its raining!)
Site was just to our liking - quite open, plenty of trees but not so big as to make it shady. Toilet facilities were very good.
It was quiet, even in mid-August, so had the feel of an adults only site. Shop/newsagent just 200 yards from the entrance so handy for getting supplies.
We were able to easily cycle to Horning and Potter Heigham. The only disappointment was in not being able to hire a day boat by just turning up (tried on two successive days). But, as I said, it was mid-August so we should have anticipated and pre-booked.
