What can I say but the Wardens are so nice kind and good at what they do. ( The ones from Rackheath). We live half hour away and that said this site offers us everything for a relaxing weekend. Outstanding facilities two pubs a fantastic walk from then site across to How Hill and back to Ludham. See you on the 25th October. Tricia and Phil

First time at the Broads site

The site is immaculate and facilities very good and clean. Store just down the road for papers and essentials and close to a nice pub. Plenty of walking and cycling from the site plus a bus that goes to Norwich We will be back!

it's a cracker!

We spent a relaxing week here in mid September 2019. This is a lovely site and it was beautifully maintained. The warden cared-for flowers were abundant and beautiful and there's a pretty, sheltered garden to sit in! There is often road noise during the day but not in the evening and night. We loved the lack of huge overtowering trees often found on and around other club sites - bright, open and sunny suits us. Not a huge lot to do in the area so perhaps more of a relaxing holiday. There's Yarmouth if you have kids - adults by themselves may not find much there to appeal. Nearby beaches are soft sand but not pretty. Some walking nearby. Boat trips may appeal.

A few days in the broads

We spent three days here in September to visit the broads. It’s a busy site and when we arrived there were only a few pitches available. We walked to the local village and visited a country pub which was a pleasant walk over fields. The site itself is spotless and the facilities are kept very clean we must also comment on the beautiful flowers that are near the wardens station, they are stunning. We found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly. As the site isn’t too big we thought it had a nice feel about the place. We also visited Wroxham which is a short drive away, however if you are in a motorhome that isn’t an awful lot in the immediate vicinity to see. We would definitely visit if we were in the area again

Excellent site with friendly helpful wardens

This is one of the most clean and well kept sites we have ever stayed on and all the flower beds/baskets that are everywhere are simply stunning (and that's from an avid gardener) The site was also calm friendly and quiet. Apart from this we would have had a stressful holiday if it hadn't been for the help and understanding of the wardens. Our car broke down on the journey there and we didn't arrive until 9.30pm. Mike was all prepared for us and couldn't have been any more helpful to go out of his way to quietly settle us in. The following day we had a problem with our van and once again Mike came across to see if he could help (he did) On top of this we had problems with leaving which was soon sorted out by the team. We are so grateful to the wardens on this site for making our holiday a happy one! Couldn't recommend this site enough :-)

Excellent, yet another great holiday

We were supposed to arrive on Monday 2nd Sept. The car broke down on the way and we were taken home by Green Flag. The only vehicle I could hire with a tow bar was a Transit van. Knowing the restriction on commercial vehicles I rang the site to enquire if it was ok and was given the ok to travel. We arrived on the Wednesday and received some friendly ribbing from the wardens about the vehicle.....great fun. This was the sixth time we have been to this site and each time the site has been beyond our expectations. We use this site because of it's location to The Broads, we love this area having hired boats for thirty years but sadly have trouble getting on and off now. All the Broads attractions are within a short drive. Great Yarmouth is close by.....if you like that sort of thing. Good food can be had at numerous pubs and restaurants and there is an excellent Chinese takaway in Horning. A great site, clean, well kept, great facilities and fun wardens. Steer clear of the fish and chip van and don't forget to drive up to the line on your arrival, lol We will be back.

Fabulous Site

We have just returned from a six night stay at this fabulous site ! The entrance was very welcoming with an array of hanging baskets and the check in was quick with a very helpful and friendly warden who gave us lots of information and told us where everything was ! The pitches are spacious and well kept, in fact the whole site was spotless you could tell the wardens work very hard to keep it that way ! The site is well situated for visiting the gorgeous villages and towns nearby and just down the road is a pub which was a 5 minute walk and if you walk the other way there is the river where the boats moor up, a nice cafe and shop and also a long walk through the countryside great if you have a dog ! We loved it and had a great time, everyone on site were friendly we got chatting to lots of people ! We will be back !

First time with the caravan

We had our first trip away with our new to us caravan to this particular site and it was great, weather could have been a bit better but that is not something the site can control. Facilities are good, nice big shower block with plenty of showers and toilets, the pitch itself was immaculately maintained and when we arrived, the staff were trimming the bushes between the two sides of the pitch. The staff are all friendly, they made a fuss of our dog when we took him for a walk and one of the staff helped us sort out our water extension for our aqua roll when i couldn't work it out myself. The dog walking area is a nice touch but we walked down to the river/broad which is quite close by and has a cafe and a well tsocked corner shop. We didn't venture into Ludham itself but we did try and walk to St Benet's Abbey ruins but my wife is disabled so we turned back after a while as the ground was a bit too much for her. It has a small area for children but isn't too far away from things to keep the kids entertained and there is a fish and chip van comes to the site twice a week and on the Sunday - which was a glorious day - an ice cream van turned up too which was very welcome. All in all, this site was a very pleasant first exeperience and is a site we will be visiting again at some point in the future.

Nice site

We went to this site because we had been to Becks Motorhomes at Rollesby to look at vans. When they say "walk by the river" yes the walk is along the course of the river, it is such a shame that you can barely see the river, unless you walk down to Ludham bridge, which is only 2 mins away. We didn't try the cafe but that has good reviews. The site staff are very friendly and helpful, and I am sure that no other campsite has such an interesting shop. The facilities are clean. I tried not to put any stars for no.5 as we have no children so wouldn't know if it is good for families, but you have to put something which is why I only put 1. The site up to the usual standards of the Caravan Club.

Brilliant Family Site

9 night stay here in August which included bank holiday weekend. Upon arrival, wardens were exceptionally friendly & booking in process was slick & professional. Only a choice of 4 pitches were available to us as the site was very busy but pitch 57 was great. Shower block immaculate as was the whole site. Floral displays beautifully kept. Wardens work tirelessly & were very friendly as we saw them about the site. 5 mile cycle into Hoveton & 2.5 miles of this is cycle path. Steady 30 min cycle, mostly flat. You can hire a boat hourly & get £10 off with a voucher if you take the 9am slot & book for 2 hrs. Great value. 5 min walk to Ludham Bridge & you can get Mr Whippy icecream from the shop & watch the boats pass by. Cromer 40 min drive. Winterton-on-Sea 20 min drive. You can park at Winterton & walk 45-50 mins along the beach or sand dune valley to Hemsby. Great Yarmouth 25 min drive. Our 9 year old loved the fun fair there - we booked wrist bands online saving 15% & went to the 5-9pm evening session - £13 each. Wroxham Barns worth a visit. Our only very, very small gripe would be the playground - swing needs replacing - it's missing. This in no way is a complaint though; more 'an observation'. Found the other guests on site very friendly & chatty & although the site was extremely busy when we stayed, we didn't feel hemmed in or cramped. The vibe was chilled & relaxed. Our third time to this site & we will definitely return. We had a wonderful time & were so fortunate to have beautiful weather.
