Visited mid August for 2 days - exactly as described - right on the beach and amongst the gorse and dunes. A large site but so spacious and plenty of room between units that it does not feel large at all. Most of the pitches are grass, some need small ramps but easy to pitch level. The peace and tranquility were a delight. There is absolutely nothing in the local vicinity, which suited us fine, but be prepared with supplies and good reading material. Plenty of walks along the beach - the dog absolutely had the time of his life! Good motorhome facilities provided - and a boat wash too! Shower/toilet block is a little dated and plastic stools in the showers but lots of hot water and perfectly adequate. Very friendly welcome upon arrival, including direction to where free pitches were, which was really helpful. We did not realise that the Scottish School Holidays differ from the UK, so the children were back at school, meaning we were blessed with very few children/virtually no noise. Would definitely recommend for a night or two stop-over.
