We (my wife and the dog blu) booked this site as a test for future bookings in our stop over to break the journey before we boarded the ferry at cairnryan for belfast. What a good choice, although it is half an hour from the port the site is superb and somewhere that could become a destination for future holidays or good touring breaks. It is extremly clean and well tended, with great walking or strolling paths and areas bordered by fantastic scenery. The site is literally on the beach, and we chose a pitch approx 20 yds from the gently sloping beachfront to the lovely clear waters of Luce bay. The facilities on site are great, with good attention paid to hygiene and cleanliness. Showers are powerful and warm, and the potwash and communial areas very tidy and user friendly. Perhaps i should write a poor review to help keep this place a secret, but that would be unfair and disrespectful to the wardens who obviously put great personal pride in maintaining this gem of a site. Try it, i am sure you will not be disappointed, just dont blame me for the weather!!! After all It is the west coast of Scotland.
Totally blissful holiday
Great stay, site layout was excellent, loved the sea view pitch that we had. Stayed for a week 11-18th June good weather, wish we could have stayed longer. Wardens were friendly and helpful. Toilets /showers spotless, the site was well maintained. Dogs loved their swims twice a day lovely beach. Logan botanical gardens, Port Logan Newton Stewart, Sandhead all nice places to visit. We will definitely be back next year, Thanks for a great holiday.
Beautiful peaceful clean site
What an amazing jewel of a site! Fabulous location, lovely pleasant helpful wardens too. Very generous pitches (our moho is 29ft long)...beach 2 minutes away. Excellent for dog walking and the bay was shallow, warm with crystal clear water. There were 2 shower blocks and the showers were amazingly hot and powerful and all facilities were immaculately clean. We stayed for a week and met some nice folks. We'll definitely return next year and would definitely recommend this site.
Great site, and super wardens. The best.
I am most impressed by the excellence of the site at New England Bay. On our visit commencing three weeks ago, we noticed that the pitch next to ours was a seasonal pitch which appeared to be vacant. We enquired, and the wardens confirmed that it was available. A brief call to head office later, we were the happy possessors of a seasonal pitch with five months left to run. Furthermore, the lovely wardens refunded the fee we had paid for our three week booking and we set this against the fee for the seasonal pitch, so that we were not, in effect, paying twice. At a very busy time, Jacqui (warden) cheerfully sorted out all the complexities of the fees (we had an adult son staying with us as a guest for part of the stay, and his charges had to be re-applied as well). Excellent service, and an immaculate, welcoming site. Our favourite.

Total relaxation
What a great site, spacious pitches, many with views of the beautiful beach. You can pitch right by the beach or in the sheltered areas between the banks of gorse bushes. There are two spotlessly clean toilet blocks with good hot showers, curtains to keep the dressing area dry and even stools in each one. The onsite shop has all the basics you need, plus the best ice cream ever. A fish and chip van calls every Tuesday and Friday evening (the chicken supper is great) and there is a lovely bakery van on Wednesday mornings. Last but certainly not least, the wardens are the friendliest ones we have met and obviously take great pride in their site.

May to June 2016
Great site , area , and weather , VERY disappointed at the large number of dogs wandering around , they almost outnumbered the humans ! This is a trend I have noticed lately , some people had 3 or even 4 dogs , so when you factor in all the wee-wee and poo-poo most of the ground is going to be contaminated (and some owners didn't bother to clean up at all) , shame that animals could potentially spoil a lovely site for people.

Awesome and the weather was great
Despite having over 150 pitches the site is broken up by a mass of gorse bushes and shrubs which gives you small groups of pitches but all of which are widely spaced. A quick walk and you are on the beach which is a mix of sand and rock pools. Fish and chip van each Friday, wet fish on Thursday and baker each Tuesday. Facilities immaculate as ever. Ideal site.
May Bank Holiday- glorious weather
We visited the site during May Bank Holiday. The weather was glorious and the views magnificent. We saw numerous birds- the most impressive being gannets diving for fish, and we saw seals- all from the comfort of our motorhome. The site is lovely and relaxing, the facilities clean, and the wardens friendly. We went to Logan Botanic Gardens, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, and Port Patrick- all great days out within half an hour drive of the site.
If you want entertainment, childrens clubs, bars etc on site then this isn't the place for you. However if you want to relax and enjoy huge seascapes .....

Perfect when the sun shines
Took a chance on the weather heading north from the Midlands and were rewarded.
A great site for its black location. At times I had the beach to myself.
Nothing much else in the local area so enjoyed the peace and sun!
Follow the swallows
We had a wonderful week here. If you want to find the definition of a good site just look where the swallows choose to nest - in the shower block!
Wardens were helpful and friendly and the fresh fish van and fish and chips are definitely worth a try.
Only drawback? It's a long way from Dorset, our home, otherwise we'd visit more often.
