Best site in the country

I have stayed here many times over the years, even before it was the caravan club. Nothing gets close to the location, absolutely beautiful scenery, mountains, The Five Sisters of Kintail are a hill walkers dream as are the other mountains in the area. Loch Duich is less than a mile away and there are many different types of wildlife in the area including Golden Eagles, red dear, otters, seals, porpoises all in Loch Duich. Feral mountain goats roam the hills and often can be seen in Shiel Bridge. The Falls of Glomach which one of the highest in Britain are a 7 mile hike away, only for experienced walkers really as it’s steep and boggy in places. The clan MacRae burial ground is at Clachan Duich just off the road to the site and Eilean Donan Castle which is a MacRae stronghold is 7 miles to the west on the A87 towards Dornie. Kyle of Lochalsh is another 8 miles past Dornie where there is places to eat etc and the bridge over to the Isle of Skye and all that Skye has to offer. Plockton is a nice place to visit and Durinish to see the highland cattle farm were you can have photos and feed them. The site itself is very well kept with excellent wardens who will help anyone. It’s clean and tidy, toilet block is spotless as is the laundry room and dry room. There is a room with a tv and a pool table, ideal for family championships and an info room with details of places to visit, eat etc. also detailed walking routes off the ranger at the NTS.

A helpful review, but to my recollection Morvich has been a caravan club site for the 35 years we have been going there. I recall my parents going to the site in 1987 and it was a caravan club site then because I had to be put on Dads membership card to borrow their caravan. So not sure when it wasn’t a caravan club site ?
