Outdoor heaven with stunning view after view

I was only supposed to be staying here for four nights but ended up staying twelve as it was just the most beautiful delightful spot. There are oodles of walks round about both challenging or gentle ones. If you do go up the mountain next to the site the views are magical and what one would expect to see on a make believe film with endless mountains one way and a view of the lochs the other. There are wild deer up on top too so you may want to take some binoculars. Plockton along the way is excellent for kayaking, as you can launch straight from the beach. It is a natural harbour so it is quite sheltered and there are lots of little islands to explore. You will probably see some seals too, as they hang out there also. The isle of Skye is mesmerising in so many ways. It is no wonder so many authors go home and start scribbling away after visiting. I could have spent another two weeks there and not be bored. There is just so much to do. If you go to Skye be prepared for a lot of driving. It is 50 miles top to toe with few spots for overtaking. There are several castles for rainy days and quite a few art galleries dotted about. I really did not want to leave.
