Good for families

Won’t be coming back.

For a number of years it has been our custom to spend 10 nights or so at Morn Hill in early October to round off the season. No more! The year before last we were annoyed by the ladybirds but last year there was an absolute infestation of them. We are still ‘dysoning’ them up five months later! Not the fault of the club but enough to make us vote with our feet, as the saying goes. I haven’t mentioned the rats and the traps all round the edges of the site or, possibly, the upper site where we were pitched.

Many that are kept are from desert areas in Asia and Syria originally.

Cheers, Easy. I wonder how they ended up wandering the wilds of Hampshire🤔😉

Syria, cross into Turkey. Boat to Italy or Malta, overland to france and then on a lorry to UK I suppose.

That makes sense. It’s lucky for them they knew the way.👍🏻

Made a mistake in a reply which I can’t edit.

Infested with ladybirds.

Rats (a large number, probably a family outing) around and under shed close to our pitch.

Dont know what difference it makes who put the traps down, Council, pest control or just ‘them’. Only know that the wardens had had it done.

As I said earlier it is common operating procedure on many, if not all sites. The UK has a thriving rat population. If you boycott sites with rat bait boxes you won't have many to choose from. Bait boxes does not mean that there is a rat problem only that an attempt of prevention is in place.

Still finding ladybirds in the car and amongst equipment from our Cirencester seasonal last year. It was the weather and just one of those things. I suspect the new owners of our caravan, which we traded in, will also find a few, 😂 although we did give it a good clean out. As to rats, I have had to put a bait box in the garden, as we seem to have developed a problem, perhaps we should move. 😉 Baltic Wharf has bait boxes all round the walls but still seems very popular.

Except that this thread started yesterday, I would have suspected an AF.🤔
