The facilities of this site are in much need of an upgrade and the showers are the worst that Ive encountered on all the club sites ive visited. The shower cubicles are so small (only 2) that it was difficult changing and the curtain was so close to you that it kept sticking to your body when showering. One morning the water was only look warm so after two days I abandoned the idea of using them and had to start using the facilities in my van. The site is in an excellent location for bus stops and Winchester itself and 10 mins walk to the Science & Discovery Center & Planetarium (for a rainy day). The wardens made a good job despite the outdated facilities. Site handy if your using Southampton ferries. There were a number of foreign visitors on site due to the proximity of the port.
