Great Site
This is a great location for exploring the west end of the south downs 0r for immersing yourself in the history of England, in particular Alfred the Great. Wardens are friendly and informative, keeping ageing facilities spick and span. A bit noisy from time to time due to some inconsiderate motor bikers who us the A 31 and A 272 as a racing track. The history of the site is fascinating and there is plenty of information provided by the current wardens.
