We have just returned from a lovely couple of days at Morn Hill. That site is approximately 3 miles outside of the beautiful, historic city of Winchester and close to the A31. The site is grass only and divided into two quite separate areas. Each with its own toilet block. I was a bit concerned about the reviews which reported a lot of noise from the busy road,,,,when we booked we had no idea also about the huge festival nearby too..., we needn't have worried about the noise. The site was pretty peaceful given its proximity to the road and "BOOM TOWN" festival ...we slept great! There is a bus stop a short walk away and the half hourly no 64 costs £3.60 return (for those of us who pay). Winchester was well worth a visit and a return visit is a must. Without your own transport I think you'd be pretty limited to just visiting Winchester and the nearby Science Centre which I heard was very good. The toilet block on the upper site is a bit limited and not up to CMC standards but I believe the the site is owned by the local council. The gents had only 2 showers....but was of course spotless. Must say a word for the staff...the site looks terrific and the flowers outside reception amazing.
