Perhaps, first, I should say, we had dreadful weather during our stay, rain every day for seven days!, and, as we all know, everything looks better in sunshine.
- usual friendly and helpful wardens you would expect with CAMC
- usual clean and tidy site you would expect with CAMC
- good bus service (30 minutes), five minutes walk from site, to Winchester/Alton
- unisex facilities, which may not be to everyones taste, also, a bit dated, Showers in particular too small.
- due to Covid restrictions only one person/family group at a time in facilities, lots of queues!
- Burger van on Friday/Saturday, quite good as Burger Vans go
- Holiday In nearby (5 minutes walk), but, if you want a pub (Cricketers or Chestnut Horse), it is two miles to Easton.
- all grass, no hard standing, not ideal in a Motorhome in wet weather (and, it was wet)
- significant road noise from A31 (we are urban dwellers, so, used to traffic noise), this is beyond reasonable.
Finally, DO read the approach instructions, the SatNav will probably not actually find it.
