It is all about location
We have stayed at Moreton-in-Marsh a few times and, notwithstanding some drawbacks, we keep coming back for the advantages of its location. A 10 minutes walk on a public footpath across fields from the northern edge of the site and you are in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh with its good selection of shops and eating places. As far as the latter is concerned, we eat this time at Bellini, an Italian restaurant which I would recommend. Instead of walking across the fields to the town, you can walk in the other direction on the public footpath as far as you want without having to negotiate roads and most of the fields do not have farm animals in them so great for dog walking.
The site is a bit crowded but not too much in my opinion to put you off staying. Some reviews have referred to noise from the main road which goes past the site. We have always stayed on the north side of the site to be near the dog walk and the public footpath referred to above and you can certainly hear the traffic on that side of the site but I would not say that it was very intrusive and it does not put us off the site. However, I can understand that the impact of the traffic could be considered to be intrusive at pitches nearest to the road.
Some people have said that the toilet blocks are a bit dated. Maybe but they are well maintained and the shower cubicles are a lot more spacious than in the club’s modern blocks.
