Pleasant Easter Break
If you want a pleasant, quiet, idyllic site with excellent views all around this is where to go.
We arrived on Easter Sunday afternoon, and were welcomed by the warden Colin.
We found the perfect pitch for us and settled in, our friends arrived a couple of hours later and were able to pitch opposite us. The site was quite full, but still peaceful.
Colin and his wife did a great job of keeping the facilities and the site clean and tidy,
We were able to get a bus into Hereford. We went in our friends Motorhome to Brecon, Merthyr Tidfil for the Brecon Mountain Railway, Hay on Wye, a lovely village to explore. We also went to Worcester, and Hop Pocket shopping area.
A well worth visit was to the Cider Museum in Hereford, very interesting and a nice cafe.
We visited Woebley and explored the village, and went to the local Chinese Restaurant at
Credenhill which we would recommend, just a short car ride from the site. We did find that Pubs and Restaurants we looked at in the villages did not serve meals until 6 pm in the evening.
We coped with no wifi or phone signal, but wonder if it would be a good idea to have a public phone box on the site.
Would not hesitate to recommend this site.
