Peace & tranquility

A nice quiet & peaceful site as there was only 3 units at the most at the same time , due to boiler breakdown. It wasn't a problem as the toilets were open just no hot water . It would probably be a bit crowded if full . We had no complaints.

Absolute tranquility

A perfect site both in terms of location and facilities. Previous reviews have referred to the lack of reliable mobile telephone network coverage and/or wi-fi availability. The fact is that the site and local area is a telecommunications 'desert' and will remain so for the foreseeable future insofar as there can be no viable business case for any operator due to the very small number of potential Customers.

Will visit again

Very nice site and agree with last few comments. Plus very friendly and efficient wardens who for us went beyond the call of duty. No problems with lack of phone signal and wifi, just have to read information and reviews before visiting.

Peacefully Out of Touch!

A little gem of a site, quite small and very neatly laid out. Good washblock facilities and very friendly. Easy access to lovely dog walks in the surrounding cider apple orchards and set in the most glorious Herefordshire countryside. However, the site is miles from the nearest shop and the site office does not stock even basics so make sure you have all you need when you arrive. Also no phone signal and no wi-fi. The nearest accessible wi-fi was in the lovely little cafe in the wonderful village of Weobley, some 15 minutes drive away. The restaurant - "Jules" in Weobley is a must - amazing food, wonderful welcome and very reasonable prices. Also make sure you walk the 'Heritage Trail' in Weobley and gaze at all the iconic black and white timbered houses of this part of Herefordshire. fabulous! We will return but will warn everyone we will be 'off the grid' while staying there!

No contact

I was happy with the site in general but there was no wi-fi, no public telephone and only mobile signal for Vodaphone network. That's fine for those who don't need to be in contact but, if like most people, you have family that you need to be in contact with, mobile network is important.  When I booked I didn't see any warning about phone signal.

First CC Site

First trip in our motorhome and first CC site and on both counts it could not have been better ( more than could be said for the weather!). Easy to find, beautiful location, so tidy and clean with very nice wardens who clearly enjoy their jobs. We stayed for 4 nights and had two trips into Hereford using the handy local bus service which only took 35 minutes. It was an easy day trip around local villages and to Hay-on-Wye a very beautiful village in the Wye valley. If this is the standard of all CC site then we look forward to many more trips around the country.

Disappointing

This site is built on an old railway station and I'm afraid it shows. Inevitably the site is long and narrow but, in places, the pitches are short, the roadway narrow and it would be near impossible to use them for a larger unit. Our MH is 6.4m and only just fitted. The facility block is small but immaculate. The peace is total but be aware there is no mobile phone signal which may, or may not, be important to you. It's unlikely we would use this site again.

First timers

Our first caravan and our first site. Quite nervous about setting up and getting caravan parked. Had no need to worry the wardens were superb. They helped us sort out the electrics so we could have that first cup of tea in the van. Then when we found we had not brought any matches to light the gas they brought us some to get us started. The facilities on the site were spotless. The site is quiet and in such a beautiful spot. Hopefully we have many happy years of caravaning but we will always remember our helpful wardens and this beautiful site

Peace & Quiet

Stayed here for a weekend while visiting Hereford last week.  Very peaceful and only about a third full.  Ideal if you just want to chill out, probably the quietest park we've ever stayed on.

A Peaceful Summer Holiday

We were expecting a busy site as we always seem to find during the summer holidays, it was however, a wonderfully quiet and peaceful site. With just the two of us and no children this time, it was the perfect getaway for us. It is probably not the site to visit if you do have children as there isn't really anything for them to do. The site was well maintained and all the facilities were clean and in good working order. Thank you for a lovely quiet holiday...we will be back for more next year!
