We have just spend two weeks at this site and was a little bit unsure what to expect as some of the reviews we not very complimentary. We booked this as a walking holiday and the site was in an excellent position for this and we did have a really good holiday. However we have been to a lot of sites and have to say this is the one that will be at the bottom of our list for the following reasons, the shower and toilet block never felt very clean, probably because of the horrid brown tiles, the drains in one of the mens showers had what appeared to be tape holding a tile together near the drain, the toilets did not flush well, probably due to lack of water pressure and one had a broken seat. We arrived on saturday and was sent to the top of the site which is gravel and secluded by trees hence very little sunshine, however they were good enough to let us move the next morning but there are very few pitches which are not hidden by the shadow of the trees which is fine if you do not want to sit outside in the warm. The grass on our pitch was not cut until the second week we were there and had got to about 2 inches in length making it not very nice to sit out on, we did however notice that the temporary warden on site did cut the grass around his caravan and his friends who were staying opposite.
